School Agenda 21 "graphite" in the middle Recycling

Last weekend took place in the city of Alicante an interesting contest while interesting where they joined two cultural phenomena as important as graffiti art and environmental education. It is the first edition of "Sprayate" , a contest promoted by the Department of Urban and Inusa Care (a company specializing in cleaning and treatment of waste from the city) where young people put their talents in art graffiti to be succulent prize of 1,000 euros.

Contest "Spayate" has given color to paint the streets of Alicante's many glass containers around the city, a competition in which 18 graffiti all over Spain participated in this exercise to promote the artistic talent of young people, releasing the expressions of these artists in order to combat vandalism and graffiti and aesthetically enhance the city of Alicante.

But these are not the only targets of the initiative, also because it wanted to also have environmental consciousness and drawings have been saved relation to sustainability, recycling and environmental awareness : through an act to combat indiscriminate graffiti have taken advantage of the exercise to educate about the environment.

Since opening period came to be present up to 25 sketches, of which 18, they were selected and presented at the Paseo de Federico Soto and shaped his drawings "green" in their respective containers. The material, available apart from that the graffiti was provided by the council and lasted 5 hours.

Of course, there was a juicy prize game that was distributed as follows:

- First prize: "Ecojuegos?" of Alicante Soul winning $ 1,000

- Second prize: "Night and Day or Carrot Low Power" Madrid's Artza , winner of 500 euros.

- Third prize: "Life Cycle" of Orihuela Cuellimangui winning another 500 euros.

The competition has made such a success that next year and plans to return to repeat, as confirmed by the Urban Service councilman, Andrew Llorens, who opened the event and has confirmed that, moreover, extended the invitation in the next edition.

round off this initiative, the day was complemented with live performances by famous rappers Alicante as is the case The Insane Eme and Valdés addition to DJ's and hip-hop , the climax to an activity that in addition to raising awareness the "street culture" wanted to make a hole for the ecological world, giving color to Alicante at the same time educating.
