If there is something we instil in the younger both at home and from schools is the importance of water . As an indispensable component of the human body is, we can not do without drinking more than six days without risking our lives. We know it's important, and no longer just for people, "however, does not skimp on wasting it on more than one occasion. It is important that Smaller learn to care for her, because although there is water for all, this also will end if we do not use it well.

Earth has about 1.4 million cubic kilometers of water. The problem is that over 95% of it is salt water. 2.6% remaining three quarters are in glaciers and ice caps. So the fresh water available is reduced to the figure of 0.001% of the total. It may not seem like much, but enough to meet basic human needs. According to estimates, there would be enough to supply fresh water to 20,000 million.

Unfortunately, in 2027 approximately third of the world's population will suffer water shortages ( estimated by the United Nations Programme on Environment , UNEP). And that as a result of waste generated in large populations and the contamination some water resources and increased demand due to industrial expansion. Therefore, it is important that children know how to appreciate this precious right. And a good way is to devote a whole day to explain, the World Water Day . Here are some ideas to celebrate this day.
Since the 1993 General Assembly of the United Nations took the decision, the World Water Day has been celebrated every March 22 . A day dedicated to awareness of citizens through various activities water scarcity. This year's World Water Day focuses on the impact they are having so much industrialization and large cities, such as climate change and natural disasters on water supply systems. So that the theme of this year "Water for cities: responding to the urban challenge" , it is intended appeal to organizations, governments, communities and individuals to make better water management in cities.

Take a day like this to teach children the proper use that we must give to the water. Organize a program of activities through which they can understand the importance of this resource and learn to make efficient and rational use of water as well as instilling respect for the environment.
